Most IAM works well inside the enterprise; the friction begins at the boundary

IAM usually works well inside one organisation. The friction begins when employees need to act across partner portals, customer environments, regulator systems or third-party applications.

At those boundaries, login is not enough. Organisations need trusted proof of who someone represents, what they are authorised to do, and whether that authority is still current.

Repeated checks

Users are asked to prove the same identity or authority again in every new portal or workflow.

Assumed authority

A login may prove the user, but not always whether the user is authorised to act for a specific organisation.

Fragmented access

Partners, portals and internal teams often manage access relationships separately, creating inconsistent controls.

Difficult lifecycle control

Role changes, offboarding and revocation become harder to manage once access extends beyond one organisation.

The confidence gap in enterprise IAM is real

Across the industry, organisations report high confidence in how quickly they can revoke access and contain identity risk – yet operational delays, fragmented systems and identity-related incidents remain common. Complexity keeps rising as enterprises manage multiple credential types, disconnected tools and inconsistent lifecycle processes.

TradeVeris is designed to close that gap by making identity and authority portable, verifiable, revocable and audit-ready across organisational boundaries.

What TradeVeris IAM is

TradeVeris IAM is a verifiable trust and authorisation layer that works alongside the identity systems, applications and workflows organisations already run. It enables employees to hold trusted identity and authority credentials in a secure wallet experience, and present proof when a portal, partner or regulated workflow needs stronger assurance.

The relying party can verify that proof, apply its own policy and continue the workflow – without every organisation joining one shared access system or rebuilding every application.

Verifiable organisational identity

Verifiable organisational identity A trusted digital identity anchor for the company, vLEI today, extensible to additional digital identity ecosystems as they become available.

Workforce authority credentials

Workforce authority credentials Named, scoped and revocable credentials that employees can hold in a secure wallet and present when they need to prove what they may do on behalf of the organisation.

Verification and token translation

Verification and token translation A TradeVeris verification layer that maps trusted claims into enterprise-ready IAM signals.

Lifecycle control

Lifecycle control Issue, expire, revoke and update authority as roles change – with better attribution and auditability than static groups alone.

What Enterprises Gain

  • Less identity sprawl across portals, partners and external workflows
  • Better lifecycle control over delegated authority
  • More defensible approvals with clearer proof of who acted, for whom and under what mandate
  • Reduced reliance on password-centric or assumption-based access models
  • Faster adoption because the user experience stays close to familiar browser, wallet and IAM patterns

Beyond passkeys: reusable authority

Passkeys are an important step forward for authentication. In a wallet-based model, a passkey or biometric check can help the user unlock a secure wallet without relying on passwords, reducing password-related risk and supporting a more phishing-resistant experience.

But passkeys and credentials solve different problems. A passkey helps prove that the right user is accessing the wallet. The credentials inside the wallet prove business context: which organisation the user represents, what authority they hold, and whether that authority is still current.

That trusted authority can then be reused across internal apps, partner portals and regulated workflows – without recreating a separate password, passkey or authority setup for every relying portal.

Step 1

Unlock the wallet

A passkey or biometric check helps the user access a secure wallet without relying on passwords.

Step 2

Present verifiable credentials

The wallet holds credentials that can prove organisational identity, delegated authority and current status.

Identity Organisation Authority

Step 3

Verify across workflows

Apps, portals and partners can verify trusted authority without rebuilding it separately each time.

Keep your IAM. Keep your apps.

TradeVeris does not replace your IAM. Entra, Okta, Auth0 and other identity platforms remain your system of record for users and access.

TradeVeris adds a verification layer that enriches those systems with stronger organisational identity and authority claims.

Your applications can keep using familiar tokens and protocols. Your teams can keep using familiar journeys. The difference is that critical actions now rely on verifiable proof of mandate, not just assumed role membership.

Existing IAM / IdP

Keep your current identity platform, access policies and Single Sign-On experience.

  • Standard OIDC / SAML
  • Existing IAM remains in place
  • No rip-and-replace

TradeVeris IAM

Add verifiable organisational identity and delegated authority through a secure wallet-based trust layer.

  • TradeVeris or company-branded wallet
  • eIDAS-compliant business wallet ready
  • Verification and token translation

Apps, portals and workflows

Existing applications can consume trusted IAM signals without forcing every partner into one access model.

  • Existing apps stay unchanged
  • No forced partner-wide IdP mesh
  • No new access model to retrain users on

How it works

Set up once. Govern continuously.

TradeVeris IAM is designed so organisations define the trust model up front: connect the existing IAM environment, establish the organisational identity anchor, define the roles and mandates that matter, and issue reusable authority credentials to the right people.

After that, the ongoing work is lifecycle governance – updating, expiring or revoking authority as roles change – rather than rebuilding trust separately for every portal, partner or workflow.

Set up your organisation

Connect TradeVeris to your IAM and establish your organisational identity anchor.

Define roles and mandates

Choose which responsibilities should become reusable, verifiable credentials — such as approver, declarant, signatory or release authority.

Issue to employees

Provide each user with the relevant authority credentials through a secure wallet experience.

Monitor lifecycle events

Update, expire or revoke authority as roles change.

For users, it feels familiar.

They use a familiar browser-based journey, review the proof request, and approve what is shared. Behind the scenes, TradeVeris gives enterprises stronger assurance at the moment of action – without repeated forms, uploads or separate portal enrolments.

The user signs in through a familiar browser-based experience.

Present proof

When an action requires stronger assurance, the user is asked to present the relevant proof.

Review and approve

The user can see what information is being requested and approve it.

Continue workflow

The app or portal receives the verified claims it needs, and the workflow continues.

Start with a pilot. Scale when ready.
